As a result of the flood, a large number of roads were damaged across the
Punjab. The districts that were worst affected included Layyah,
Muzaffargarh, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Jhang, Chiniot,
Multan, Narowal
and Mandi Bahauddin. On behalf of The Government of the Punjab PRSP conducted a
comprehensive survey of district roads damaged by floods. The survey included an
assessment of the pre-flood and post-flood condition of the roads as well as the
nature and extent of the damages caused by the floods. In addition, cost
estimates for the rehabilitation of each road were also provided in the survey.
